Hyllie Station
The station will become an important link in many ways. This is where travellers from central Malmö, from surrounding communities in Skåne and Denmark will pass through or stop. The strategic location close to the inner and outer ring road means that many people will drive to the station, park in the parking spaces and take the train to Malmö or Copenhagen.

Arena, shopping, working, living

When the new city district of Hyllievång is fully developed, there will be 7,000 homes and an equal number of workplaces. The development will also include the building of an arena for sports and entertainment, hotel, a theme park and a large shopping centre.

Directly adjacent to the station there will be a square and a main street with shops and other services. Hyllie station will provide natural stopping places for buses and taxis. There will be two approach roads for vehicular traffic from Annetorpsvägen and Pildammsvägen.

Station partly above ground

Hyllie station will be partly overbuilt. The two intermediate 350 metre long platforms with the four tracks will be constructed as an open shaft 7 metres below ground level. A superstructure, 50 x 180 metres will permit passage across the tracks. The tracks will be submerged in the shaft to reduce noise and create safe crossings separated at different levels from the rest of the traffic. The station will have exits with stairs, escalators and lifts in the centrally located station building. At both ends of the superstructure there are also exits via stairs.
